Monitors

Property monitoring Envoy can provide.

Envoy supplies and operates the monitoring for each property. It detects the conditions being monitored there, notices when a monitor stops reporting, alerts the assigned contact, tracks the response, and keeps the record. That work continues whether a property is occupied, vacant, or staffed only occasionally. The current monitoring options are listed below.

If the monitoring is already there, Envoy absorbs it, verifies it, and expands it. If it is not, Envoy provides it.

Compatible existing monitoring can remain in place and connect to Envoy. The setup identifies what can be incorporated and what monitoring needs to be added.
Current Monitoring

What Envoy can monitor now.

Water Leak Detection

Water shows up under a sink, behind an appliance, or in a utility closet, often with nobody there to see it. Envoy places leak monitors where the property needs them and sends the alert when one detects water.

Temperature

A room drifting cold or a freezer drifting warm both cost money, and neither announces itself. Envoy monitors ambient temperature and the temperature inside freezers and refrigerators, then sends an alert when a reading moves outside the range set for that property.

Humidity

Damp air damages finishes, materials, and stored contents well before anyone can see it happening. Envoy monitors humidity and reports when a property is holding more moisture than it should.

Mold Condition Detection

Envoy evaluates temperature and humidity together to identify conditions favorable to mold growth. It does not detect mold or spores. When the readings show those conditions, Envoy sends the alert and records the event.

Power

Lost power takes the monitoring and the connected systems down with it. Envoy watches the power state of the equipment it covers and reports a loss.

Internet Connectivity, with Router Reboot

Most of what is connected at a property runs through one internet connection. Envoy watches whether that connection is working and tracks its availability, speed, and delay. When it fails, Envoy can restart the router automatically or on demand, which resolves many outages without a trip to the property.

Occupancy and Motion

Activity matters whether a property is supposed to be empty or currently in use. Envoy reports unexpected occupancy or motion based on the rules set for that property. It does not identify anyone, and it is not a burglar alarm or a substitute for one.

Geo-locating and Geofencing

Bikes, boats, tools, and equipment are supposed to stay where they are. Envoy tracks approved on-site assets on a map and sends an alert when one crosses the property boundary. This covers movable assets kept at a property, not vehicle or fleet tracking.
WHEN ENVOY DETECTS A PROBLEM

The alert goes to the assigned contact.

Envoy sends each property-condition alert to the contact assigned for that property and tracks what happens next. The company offering Envoy to the property owner or operator is the Envoy partner. The partner reviews the alert, communicates with its customer, and arranges any work needed at the property. ObjectSpectrum operates Envoy, provides technical support, and diagnoses product, monitor, device, and connectivity problems remotely. Envoy keeps a record of the alert and the response for owner reporting and internal review.
The Boundary

Envoy monitors property conditions. It is not an alarm system.

Envoy monitors property conditions and reports what it finds. It is not a burglar alarm, fire alarm, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, or life-safety system, and it should not be used in place of one.
Not a fixed list

A growing set, not a fixed list.

The monitoring listed above is the current set. The monitoring for each property is chosen while the setup is planned, and new monitor types may be added to Envoy as they become available. If a property needs something not listed here, the Envoy partner can confirm whether Envoy currently supports it.
Two WAYS TO ENGAGE

Bring Envoy to the properties you serve or operate.

For partners

Add Envoy to the service you already provide.

If your company manages properties for other owners or provides recurring operational services to customers, Envoy adds a recurring monitoring and response service to relationships you already have. Your company owns the customer relationship and coordinates the property response. ObjectSpectrum operates Envoy and provides technical support.
